Kultur i Skolan (Culture in school) a complement to the education mission:

To draw attention to students’ right to access and be visible in public spaces, Kultur i Skolan conducts various activities during the anniversary years.

Concert: Songs composed by, with and for children. 30/5 – 2023 Bältesspännarparken

Culture in School have offered pedagogical cultural projects in the city’s schools where pupils have been given the opportunity to create music. Together with musician Per Umaerus, the children have played instruments, written lyrics and worked out melodies. How does the country you come from sound? Which song suits your family? Is the melody that describes you slow or fast? Which instrument is most similar to you?
“Let’s Make Songs” is a workshop that lets the ears make a swinging journey in time and space. You will hear newly written songs about different topics, about feelings and about thoughts that everyone recognizes. Experience and enjoy songs that tell you about the place they come from!

BECOMING VISIBLE

“Becoming Visible” is an art exhibition on the theme of mental ill-health and creativity.
During the autumn and winter, 2022-2023 pupils creations were included in the exhibition at Milleniumplatsen, as part of the exhibition Becoming visible.
In the exhibition, we could see photographs that the children took together with photographer Jerker Andersson and texts they produced together with the rap artist Oskar Schwartz. The exhibition and workshops were about norms and values: how the children see themselves and others, how they discover similarities and differences and how they can be a good friend.
