Window Poetry (Fönsterpoesi)
Through Window Poetry, Gothenburg's library and culture houses want to contribute to showcasing the City of Literature Gothenburg and participate in the celebration of the 400th anniversary by giving citizens of Gothenburg poetry from 21 of our activities in the city.
On 5-25 June 2021 at 12.30, a poet reads a day, including Jila Mossaed, Oskar Hanska, Nino Mick and Lina Ekdahl, and all the readings are gathered in a playlist on Youtube where they are also interpreted films. First out was Helena Eriksson who reads at Askim’s library.

About Window Poetry (Fönsterpoesi)
The idea for Window Poetry has sprung from the collaboration on the City of Gothenburg’s application to become part of UNESCO’s network of literary cities. The poets, together with the participating musicians, can stand as symbols of Gothenburg’s literary collaboration and stage activities. Window poetry started in the autumn of 2020 when three successful events were held.
Gothenburg Library and culture houses wants to showcase the City of Literature Gothenburg with Window Poetry and participate in the celebration of the 400th anniversary by filling Gothenburg with poetry.
Organizers
Fönsterpoesi is a collaboration between Författarcentrum Väst, Göteborgs Litteraturhus, Kulturstrategiska enheten at Kulturförvaltningen, Göteborgs bibliotek och kulturhus, ABF, Folkets hus, Näringslivsgruppen and Göteborgs 400-årsjubileum at Göteborg & Co.
